Hope to Connect Afternoon Tea

Do you have a loved one who could use a little treat? A friend going through cancer? A family member who needs a lift? Or maybe someone feeling a bit lonely – or even yourself? 💖
Come and join us for our first Hope To Connect Fundraising Afternoon Tea – a perfect way to enjoy delicious treats while supporting a cause that truly matters. 😍 And while you're there, visit the Notcutts shop from 7-8 pm.

All your support and the funds raised on the day will go directly towards building the Hope To Connect app – a platform designed to help combat cancer loneliness by bringing people together for friendship, support and love any time they need it from the comfort of their home at any time they need it most.

🌍 Walk anywhere in the world!
On Friday 11th or Saturday 12th September 2026, people around the world will come together to walk for hope, support, remembrance and connection.
Walk 5km if you can, but there’s no pressure. Walk 500m, 2km, 5km or whatever distance feels right for you. Every step counts.
You can walk anywhere you like – on your own, with family and friends, with colleagues, or by joining one of our organised walks below.

Whether you're joining an organised group or doing your own walk anywhere in the world, you register in exactly the same place.
💷 Registration is £10 per person, £20 for families of four or £100 for teams of 10. If you'd like to, you can also crowdfund for Hope to Connect, with 10% of all funds raised going to selected cancer charities. Click here to add to our crowdfunder.

🌳 Walk: Holywells Park
🍴 Finish back at Margaret Catchpole for refreshments* and a chat. BBQ later in the day if you'd like to make a day of it.

We’re inviting businesses and corporates to take part in The Global Cancer Hope Walk on Friday 11th September as a dedicated employee wellbeing day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support colleagues and employees who are living with a cancer diagnosis, caring for someone with cancer, grieving a loved one, or who have been touched by cancer in any way. Whether your team walks together in person or takes part from different locations, this is a chance to prioritise connection, compassion, mental wellbeing, and hope. Let’s make Friday 11th September a meaningful workplace wellness day that shows no one has to face cancer alone.

Whether you're walking in memory of someone special, celebrating your own journey, supporting a loved one, or simply standing with the cancer community, we'd love you to be part of The Global Cancer Hope Walk.
💛 Our goal is to walk 5km together. But we know that everyone's journey is different. For some, 5km may not be possible because of health, treatment, mobility, or personal circumstances—and that's absolutely okay. Walk as far as you comfortably can. Whether it's 500 metres, 2km, 5km or even further, every single step is a step of hope.
🌍 Walk wherever you are in the world!
Take part from your local park, beach, countryside, city streets or favourite walking route. Walk on your own, with family and friends. To help businesses and corporations to get involved, you can also register for Friday 11th September so your employees and colleagues, or create your own Hope Walk team.
🇬🇧 Joining the Hope to Connect community in the UK?
If you're in the UK and would to join the Hope to Connect team, come and walk with us at Holywells Park, Cliff Lane, Ipswich, IP3 0PG. Please arrive at 9:45am for a 10:00am start. We will meet near the Orangery, and you can choose from any (or all) of the routes marked on the map to complete your walk.
