Our 1st "Global Cancer Hope Walk 2026"
We're delighted to share the official photos from our Global Cancer Hope Walk 2026 in Ipswich, taken by the talented Owen Broom! He captured the day so beautifully, and I canโt thank him enough for doing so.
We had a beautiful couple of days it was!
From Ohio to Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland, South Wales, London, Birmingham, Brighton, Bedford, Felixstowe and Ipswich, people walked wherever they were, with whoever they chose, and with their own reason in their heart.
Some walked in memory.
Some in support.
Some in celebration.
And some simply to stand beside the cancer community.
Different places. Different people. Different stories. But for a little while, we were all walking together. Here's a few word from walkers themselves...
Friday saw businesses take part in our Employee Wellbeing Walk, before our official Saturday walk through Holywells Park in Ipswich, and we are so thrilled to release the official photos by Owen Broom from owake video, who captured the walk beautiful.
Some of the most memorable moments were when strangers stopped us to ask what we were doingโฆ and conversations began. Stories of loss, diagnosis, survival, love and hope were shared between people who had never met before.
That is magic of Hope to Connect. Sometimes it only takes one conversation to make somebody feel a little less alone.
A message from our co-founder...
"Personally, this one was very poignant for me. It was our first big event since losing my beautiful friend and co-founder Emma Adams in April. I missed jumping on a text to tell Em when our first walker registered. I missed sitting with her afterwards, poring through all the photos and stories.
I think she would have been very proud of what we achieved today.
Organising the walk was all go go go, but when I had a moment to enjoy the park walkโฆ is was really special. I walked a little with my parents, and together we remembered loved ones lost, thought of loved ones in remissionโฆ and I thought a lot of my beautiful Merry who passed away in 2020 from cervical cancer. It was very peaceful and meant a lot to feel what other walkers may have felt too.โ - Mandeep Birdy, Co-Founder.

Earlier this year, more than 1,000 of us came together to help break a Guinness World Record. This weekend, that community stretched a little further around the world.
Our goal is to combat cancer loneliness, build the Hope to Connect app, and create opportunities for human connection right now. And in the process, weโll continue to put on inspiring, fun crowdfunding events.
Cancer can be lonely. Together, we donโt have to be.

On Friday 11th or Saturday 12th September 2026, people around the world will come together to walk for hope, support, remembrance and connection.
Walk 5km if you can, but thereโs no pressure. Walk 500m, 2km, 5km or whatever distance feels right for you. Every step counts.
You can walk anywhere you like โ on your own, with family and friends, with colleagues, or by joining one of our organised walks below.

Whether you're walking in memory of someone special, celebrating your own journey, supporting a loved one, or simply standing with the cancer community, we'd love you to be part of The Global Cancer Hope Walk.
๐ Our goal is to walk 5km together. But we know that everyone's journey is different. For some, 5km may not be possible because of health, treatment, mobility, or personal circumstancesโand that's absolutely okay. Walk as far as you comfortably can. Whether it's 500 metres, 2km, 5km or even further, every single step is a step of hope.
๐ Walk wherever you are in the world!
Take part from your local park, beach, countryside, city streets or favourite walking route. Walk on your own, with family and friends. To help businesses and corporations to get involved, you can also register for Friday 11th September so your employees and colleagues, or create your own Hope Walk team.

If you're in the UK and would to join the Hope to Connect team, come and walk with us at Holywells Park, Cliff Lane, Ipswich, IP3 0PG. Please arrive at 9:45am for a 10:00am start.
