HOPE TO CONNECT WORLD RECORD FAIR 2026 – Ticket Terms & Conditions
1. World Record Attempt
• The record attempt requires a minimum of 8,265 participants present on the day.
• If fewer than 8,265 attendees are present, the official record attempt cannot go ahead.
• The event itself will still proceed, with entertainment, stalls, and activities, even if the record attempt is not possible.
• All participants are required to wear a colour that represents the cancer type of a loved one they are supporting or have lost. The torso and head of the participant must be covered in the same colour (for example a blue cap and t-shirt to represent prostate cancer, a hoodie with hood up, or a poncho). Caps, t-shirts, hoodies and ponchos cannot by multi-coloured. This is a requirement of the Guinness World Records guideline and must be strictly adhered to for us the attempt to qualify. You can bring your own clothing or purchase caps, t-shirts and hoodies from our online shop here.
• The last entry time to take part in the record challenge is 2:00pm. Anyone arriving after this time will still be able to enjoy the event but cannot join the official record attempt.
• Please note: it will take some time to get everyone into position. Participants will need to be able to stand for a period of time, and we ask for your patience while our team organises the formation and takes the official aerial photographs.
• Upon arrival, you will be given a coloured wristband, which designates your area within the human cancer bow. On the day, we will call each colour group one at a time to manage crowds safely and comfortably. Please keep your wristband safe, as it is required for entry to your designated section.
To purchase a ticket, you MUST be able to attend the World Record attempt. You nust wear clothing that covers torso and head (t-shirt and matching cap, hoodie or poncho) Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
2. Photography & Videography Consent
By attending and participating in this event, including the World Record attempt, you acknowledge and accept that photography and videography will take place. Images and footage may be used for the purposes of documenting the record attempt and for related promotional activities, including media, press, and publication across websites and social media channels.
All personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. We will only use images and footage where there is a legitimate interest to do so and will ensure they are handled securely and appropriately. If you have any concerns or may wish to request removal of identifiable images, please DO NOT attend this event as photo and video is a requirement of the Guinness World Records guidelines to have a success record.
3. Event Proceeding & Weather
• The event will go ahead regardless of weather conditions, including rain.
• Only in the case of severe weather, where organisers are advised not to proceed for safety reasons, may the event be cancelled or postponed.
• If the event is unable to go ahead for any reason, all funds raised will still be donated to the charities listed below.
4. Children’s Participation
• Children under 5 years old must be held by a parent or legal guardian during the record attempt for safety and accuracy in counting.
5. Tickets & Entry
• Tickets are non-refundable.
• Tickets are valid for entry to the event whether or not the record attempt goes ahead.
• Tickets will only be available to purchase on the day if they have not sold out in advance.
• All attendees must present their ticket QR code at the entrance gate to gain entry.
• No food or drink may be brought into the event site. Food and drink will be available for purchase from on-site vendors.
6. Accessibility
• We are committed to making this event accessible to everyone.
• Designated accessible areas will be available for participants with additional needs, including wheelchair users and those requiring extra assistance.
• To help us prepare, please inform the organisers of any accessibility requirements in advance when purchasing your ticket or by contacting us directly before the event.
• Our team and marshals will be on hand on the day to provide support where required.
7. Parking
• General parking will be available on site and marshals will direct vehicles on arrival.
• Designated disabled parking areas will be provided closer to the event entrance for blue badge holders and those with accessibility requirements.
• Please note that parking is limited and in some areas may be on grass fields. Visitors are advised to wear suitable footwear.
• All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. The organisers accept no liability for damage, loss, or theft of vehicles or belongings left in vehicles.
8. Fundraising
By purchasing a ticket, you are supporting both the development of the Hope To Connect app and our fundraising efforts for four incredible charities:

• Manchester Foundation Trust Charity

9. Dogs
• Dogs are welcome at the event but must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Dogs are NOT PERMITTED in the challenge area during the Guinness World Records attempt (except for assistance/service/guide dogs.
• Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
10. Event Updates & Communication
• We would like to keep you updated about the event, including any urgent announcements or last-minute changes.
• When booking, there will be a tick box option for you to select to allow us to contact you. Please tick this to ensure you receive important updates and reminders about the event.
11. General Conditions
• This is a family event. There will be zero tolerance for unacceptable behaviour towards staff, marshals, security staff, or other members of the public. Anyone engaging in such behaviour may be removed from the event without refund.
• By purchasing a ticket, you agree to follow the directions of event staff and marshals on the day.
• The organisers accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property, except where caused by negligence.
• Entry to the event constitutes consent to being photographed or filmed, which may be used for publicity purposes.
